We came to Shaheen Cadillac to look for an affordable used Cadillac. As we were looking at a car, a salesman approached to ask if we needed assistance. After a couple of minutes, we realized he was the Cadillac salesman that we purchased an Escalade and a Hummer from years ago at a different dealership. Once we realized, we didn’t need to talk to anyone else. He is very professional and the ultimate wealth of knowledge for Cadillacs just as he was a few years ago! The process of buying any new vehicle can be cumbersome but Cory made the process easier and pleasurable. He is definitely a five-star in our opinion and when/if we need another Cadillac, he will be our go-to salesman.

2 stars only because of the amount of clean nice used vehicles they have on the lot. Roger Hicks was nice and decent throughout the process until he heard we had our own financing and declined the offer to have the dealership do it. Hardly any words were spoken after this doing paper work, then came the time to discuss the agreement on the price of the vehicle. As most do I tried to negotiate a price that I felt was right for me and also them. He immediately got the sales manager Mike Herhold and after their discussions Mike became very hostile and aggressive about the situation and instead of working with me, he just deducted the add ons that they put on with out even asking me and not the price of the vehicle. I negotiated more. Mike Herhold then looked my wife in the eyes 6-8 inches away ( mind you I was purchasing the vehicle) and asked “ ARE YOU MAD AT YOUR MONEY?!” Luckily for them I loved the truck I was looking at and purchased it. If it had not been that truck I would’ve walked the second he said that to my wife. Way below the professionalism standard that I have been given while working with other businesses and dealerships. If that’s the way the top of the chain operates i can see why Roger has very little to no people/sales skills. Be aware and if youre directed to those individuals I would recommend asking for another sales member to increase your opportunity for a great experience.

Call me crazy, I flew on a plane from Massachusetts to this dealership to look at a car. They had a 2010 mustang gt for sale that caught my wife’s eye. Keith the salesman was nice enough to pick me up at the airport and bring me to the dealership. The level of professionalism in this place was top notch! I liked the hospitality and welcoming they offered, while I was trying to make this purchase as fast as possible since I had a 13 hour ride home! Buying a used car can sometimes be a gamble especially on a 14 year old car. Being a car guy and owning mustangs over 20 years, I knew this was a car that was well taken care of. I made it home with no problems. At this moment the car sits in the garage receiving a few mods while we wait for spring. Could it have problems in the future? Anything is possible it’s a 14 year old car with no warranty! But we knew that when we bought it. I feel this dealership has a reputation to keep and at these difficult times would take all necessary precautions to ensure a customer is going to be happy. They have my respect and would get my business if I was closer and interested in purchasing a vehicle. I know not every sale is perfect, things happen, but that’s something you can’t control. Sometimes you need to take a chance, regardless to what this review or any others wrote. Thanks guys for making this a pleasant experience!!!

I bought a Jeep from them about two months ago and have experienced nothing but problems ever since. I should have known it was a red flag when they let me drive off the lot with the tire light still on. The salesman had an excuse for everything. He said the one tire was a little low but he put air in the tire and it may take 200,000 miles of driving for the light to go off. I’ve had my jeep for about two months and I’m not even able to drive it. My jeep makes it a couple blocks before overheating. I called the service center since I bought a warranty with the car and they weren’t able to get me in for a week. Upon taking it to the service center they give me a laundry list of things wrong with the jeep after having the jeep for two days. They gentlemen called from the service center because he never receive my signature I sent hours early. The man on the phone informed me it will probably be another week before I get my jeep back and none of it is covered under my warranty. Idk what kind of warranty they sold me since I’ve had the jeep for not even 60 days before it became unable to drive. By the time I get my jeep back I will have had it for less than 3 months unable to drive it for almost a full month and have to put over 3k into it. What kind of dealership let someone drive off the lot with lights on their dashboard on? He assured me everything was fine because the service department looked at it. The same service department not even two months later say there is something wrong with it, over 3k wrong with me. How does the car go from nothing wrong to a laundry list that’s not covered under warranty and is marked as unsafe to drive.

From the time I walked in to the time I walked out everyone was so polite, attentive, Jake our salesmen did everything he could to get us our car (and not in a pushy salesmen way) he genuinely cared about our situation and getting us what we wanted. And as a coffee lover and mom of 3 kids I can appreciate the latte/hot chocolate machine and the care and attention my children were given. I bought my Avalanche from Shaheen in 2002, and drove it for 263,000 miles until the wheels were about falling off. We stopped back in last weekend just to check out a used Silverado (2021). I wasn't really expecting to buy and was actually looking for something a little older. Tad and Ken made me an offer on it, which I had to think about. After checking with several people who have more experience buying vehicles than I do (it's been 20 years!) I understood this was probably the best bargain I was going to find. I was glad to be able to trade the Avalanche back in to where she came from, I love that truck and will miss it greatly. But I'm excited about the Silverado. I walked in without an appointment on a really busy Saturday afternoon, but Jake was happy to chat with me about the compact SUVs I had my eye on. I purchased a 2018 Chevy Traverse, Certified Pre Owned, from Shaheen Chevrolet on March 1, 2021. My sales representative was John Korrey. John was very knowledgeable about all of their used vehicles. He was very friendly and helpful explaining their vehicles and answering questions, while standing back and no pressure sales tactics. All-in-all it was a very good experience looking for a used vehicle. I would recommend Shaheen for anyone looking for a new or used vehicle. If looking for a used vehicle I would definitely recommend contacting John Korrey for advice and assistance.

Had a great time working with Dave Hanna. The used car market has been tight and no other dealerships were able to negotiate. However, when I told Dave my price he was willing to actually have a discussion. On principal alone I decided to make my purchase here. Go see the used car guys. They are great. As with all dealerships, they try to sell you on the warranty. Not a huge fan of that and they did suggest I put it on a credit card. Dave Ramsey would be disappointed. No need to go into debt out of fear. However, that’s their job. So I understand. Overall, someone should give Dave (and Matt his manager) recognition for the great work they did. Thanks guys!

We live in the Lansing area and have three daughters, the youngest age 19 and a sophomore at MSU. Over the years, I've handled the first and second used-car buying exercise with each daughter. I'm also a long-time business owner, so I'm obviously very busy. For each daughter, we used the same process and approach: determine what they would like in a used vehicle, pair that with what we wanted them to have for practical purposes (four- or all-wheel drive for our winters, good safety/crash-test ratings, non-smoker) and set a budget we could afford when it came time to start looking. For the first two daughters, we never had much luck at Shaheen. This time, however, in June we found 2016 Equinox right in our price range. It was super clean, had just 17,000 miles, and checked all our other boxes. The salesman, Keith Walters, was terrific. About a month after buying the car, the A/C stopped working, followed a day or so later by the windshield wiper fluid system conking out. Unfortunately, the bumper-to-bumper warranty had expired about a month before our purchase. We took the car to Shaheen service, where I obviously expressed my strong disappointment with both issues cropping up so soon after purchase and warranty expiration. While the vehicle was being serviced, they put our daughter into a rental so she could get to work. And when the repairs were done, they stepped up and covered everything. We did not have to pay a penny. I've been a loyal Chevy and GM customer for decades. When it comes time for our next new car, I'll definitely give Shaheen a shot as they've earned it. Thanks Keith for being our advocate, and thanks Shaheen for standing behind what you sell.
