On 12/01/24 I found a used vehicle on the website that I wanted to test drive / purchase. On 12/2/24 I reach out at 9am to schedule a test drive. Brooke called and sent me a txt confirming the vehicle was available and I was scheduled for my test drive at 5pm on 12/2/24 and that I would be working with Troy. I was then txted and called at 4:05pm by Brooke letting me know that somebody agreed to purchase the vehicle and I would not be able to test drive it. I had made arrangements for somebody to watch the kid and left work early as the dealer was 45 minutes away. Not only was I already on my way to the dealer when they called but I was also never told anybody else was interested in the vehicle or that it was first come first serve policy. Brooke was sure to let me know that they had great availability of other options which is not true they only had one other vehicle on the lot that was the same make and similar model. At this point I was very frustrated and asked to speak to the manager who assured me he would do everything he could to make it right and understood that I was very frustrated. He then told me that he would personally look into what happened as I was told the purchaser was a walk in, however it also sounded like a potential deal had been in the works for days. He was going to see what other vehicles might be coming to the dealer that I would be interested in and give me a call back. That was two weeks ago and of course I have not heard from anybody at the dealer. Adding to this review per Shaheen’s response a year and a half later: Nothing says genuine like a 1.5 year later “apology”. There was no oversight just a greedy company that wanted to make a sale and promised the same vehicle to more than one customer.

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Sales Rep. Jake Haner for about a month and a half, stopping in no less than 4 times and blowing up his phone about 100 times, all while he tried to find the perfect new vehicle for me. To say that I’m particular, and hard to please is a massive understatement. After all, this would be my first NEW car purchase. Jake braved winter conditions while he was sick, to clean off a vehicle for me to drive. This was so I could get a feel for the ride of a truck that we both knew I wasn’t going to purchase. I felt bad about this and told him I’d come back another time but he refused and said let’s go for a ride. I was sold on the 3.0L Baby Duramax. In this process we found a vehicle at a different dealership in Illinois; so I made a down payment. The driver who fought through traffic to Illinois to pick up the vehicle noticed that it wasn’t in as good of condition as they said it was. Not all dealers are trustworthy if you can believe that. Jake protected me from buying a vehicle that he knew I wouldn’t be happy with and they left that car behind where it belonged. We were able to use the down payment on the new vehicle but only after multiple failed attempts at trying to get the perfect one that I wanted from other dealers. Realizing that my dream to own my first new truck/Tahoe with a diesel engine was coming to an abrupt end I started to feel helpless inside and give up. When all of the sudden the impossible happened and GM had 0% financing for 2024 Tahoes. It’s as common as seeing an albino jaguar in the wild. So my wife and I quickly went to work and we found a Tahoe right under our noses at Shaheen. Jake was able to subdue the competition for this highly sought after diamond in the rough, until I could drive the HC Tahoe 6.2L V8. Wow was it an impressive ride and it had all of the features that my wife and I had agreed upon (minus my desire for a diesel engine). We both loved it and the rest of the purchase was as easy as pie. They (Jake, Troy, & Lenny) made sure all my questions were answered and Jake even followed up to see how the new Tahoe was working out for us. I told him “My wife loves her new ride! And I’m beginning to enjoy driving her car. If you made it this far I’ll tell you that I’m going back to Shaheen and only working with Jake when the time comes for my wife to get a new vehicle. They looked out for us and were patient with us during this endeavor. I won’t go anywhere else and I’m referring everyone to Jake.
